Good afternoon,I would very much appreiciate any help with this machine. I am considering to buy one, I know absolutely nothing about it, only that, I believe it is primarily a gold detector, does it hunt coins? Is it a pi or a vlf machine, heavy , light, hip mountable, auido only, or both auido and visual? And also any other user comments , I would greatly appreiciate. Thank you very much, jr

It's a VLF gold detector with auto ground balance and tracking. It does not have a meter (audio only). The only discrimination that it has is for iron near the surface, so it is not very good for hunting coins. The control box can be hipmounted or chest mounted. If I remember correctly it runs at 6.4 khz.

Actually 8 Khz, nice at the time but the electronics were slow, I had one, found some nice gold with it but the Eureka would be a better investment by far, unless you wanted an earlier PI like the 2100 for example... HH..Geo
