I'm charging her batteries now.

Got her together. I also got the meter for her but am not thrilled about the meter hiding behind the handle. I may have to figure out how to get it on top of the handle. Tips anybody?

This weekend is going to be fun to say the least.

you can make a stand to make the meter higher,I made one from wood that makes the meter the perfect viewing angle, do you have an S1 probe?? I can show y7ou what I made but my camera is out right now.I will get it back tonight and see what I can do ...... goood luck its a strong machine that hangs on pretty damn deep......

Hi Tony, If you give me a call after 9pm e.s.t. You can call up til
Midnight, I will give you the ph# of a guy, who made me one, and you can see some pictures of it. My ph# is (302) 354-5661. HH, les

Tony, good luck with the Sovereign. What part of Michigan do you hunt?I hunt around Northern Oakland County area this season both land and water.Sometimes a group of us 4-5 guys hunt some parks in bad area's.We have talked about forming a club(Chrysler and GM guys in the group arguing) but usually too busy and unorganized to make any progress. Can always use someone from Ford to diversify the group. If your from Toyota the GM guys may boycott the hunt.

having the meter on it, will help you learn the machine a lot faster/ easier. I would just glance at the meter once you get a target, dig all targets until you start getting use to the sounds, after all the best meter that you can use is the one between your ears. Swing it slow and good luck with it....

I'll see if I can put that meter between my ears to good use.:nerd:

I understand what you mean. I also have an Explorer. The meter is great on it and indispensable but the final decision to dig is based upon the knowledge base built up in the gray matter over the years otherwise called "experience."

Nice to see another Tony detecting!

Tony

I detect all over Michigan when I have the time. I live just north of Macomb county in the southern edge of Lapeer county. I have been known to make forays into your neck of the woods from time to time. I've even hunted down in the drug ridden hood of Detroit by myself.

I don't drive any foreign car. I have one friend I detect with. Maybe some day we can get together for a hunt? Maybe give me some tips in the field on the Sov?

a V-clip from minelab and mounted it on the the hand-grip. Here is a good link to read.field testHere is a good link for the GT. If I messed up, go to Goggle, type Soveriegn GT+ Frank O'shea...Good luck, Tony from Tidewater

Tony all you need is a v clip and a 1 1/2 inch screw. At Pontiac Lake Beach last summer I talked to a couple of hunters from your area using White water units.

Congrats here is my set up. [attachment 56574 S-1_ELITE-_CLOSE_UP.jpg]
