Ok, I have too many detectors already, but these caught my eye recently. Now I rem when they were introduced last year I never gave them a second glance as they were "entry level detectors" and I already own some really good detectors including the CTX. So what happened?? Well, I have, more than once had this happen, be an hour or so from the house and see an old sidewalk that was torn out, or an old house that had been razed or other construction, and wished I had my detector with me. This happened recently and I remembered these fold up deals from Minelab. So I started researching and watching some YouTube videos. So I ordered the Go find 60. I am impressed! Not only does it fold up tiny, so I can leave it under my truck seat, or take it on a plane or a cruise with little trouble at all, all that is true but then there's this, it's a very respectable detector! It uses Minelabs vflex technology, it has nice depth, works on salt water sand beaches, a great discriminator, simple yet very effective target Id ( greatly enhanced when using the smartphone app) and I don't feel like I'm wasting my time using this detector. I've tried it out with different targets to see how well it discriminates and I'm very impressed, tried on a volleyball court and it was really a pleasure to use, and found me some clad in the process and it hits hard on coins. Will this be my everyday go to detector? Of course not, will this let me hit some spots when I'm out and about without having to make a trip home to load up gear? It sure will, as well as going with me on trips when I'm not going soley on a "metal detecting trip". If going on a cruise or airplane it makes detecting possible, where before I would not want the risk or hassle associated with trying to take an expensive full sized detector that I would be afraid would be lost or damaged in the process. I've seen some super impressive finds on videos made with these machines, including gold rings, silver coins, relics such as musket balls and flat buttons and so on. These are NOT toys folks, these are very versatile metal detectors!

I was tempted by one myself. The fact that it folds up very small is really interesting to me. One could carry it in a backpack on hiking trips or on a bike and explore places unknown for potential and come back with a "real" detector later on. I saw so many bad reviews and people that used it say it WAS a toy that I passed. Maybe I should go for it and see for myself. Thanks for the review.
