Minelab finally got it right!

I just opened Bia's replacement Excal 800 and had a great suprise. Minelab must have seen what Max did to his coil because they filled it to the max with epoxy. In fact.. it's even beveled! No coil cover for this machine!

That's exactly the way my BBS 1000 coil was when I bought mine. I assumed they were all that way. I still use a coil cover though, because it will eventually wear down. That, and I do most all my hunting at night in the summer and I want that protection in case I swing it into a rock or some other unseen solid object.
