Please someone...I inherited a Minelab Explorer XS....now what I need to know is what is the main difference between the Minelab Explorer XS and the Minelab Explorer IIJames N.D.

Don't be so glum about inheriting an Explorer XS. I own one and if you think the Explorer II is a better machine, well than you just check out my postings I have been making with my detector. The Explorer II differences were few like software changes, Dual Display readout, Lower Carbon Fiber Shaft, Added a Stand to the detector, Stock Coil black instead of white, and a few others. So there is nothing really different with the 2 detectors and you should be quite happy and actually jumping for joy that you own one of these great machines.
