Minelab Explorer for Gold Nugget Hunting

Gerry in Idaho

New member
On the Christian Detecting Forum I was asked if the Explorer is a "Good Nugget Machine"? I posted my answer on there and gave a brief input.

Here are a few pictures of my Great Friend and Customer (Mark from the US) to show it can find Gold Nuggets.

Swing It Slow & Keep It Low!!!

Hey Gerry
First off,Congats! on your arrival here!Folks,if you don`t know Gerry(Gerrysmetaldetectors) then start checkin this forum more often and I`m sure you will see some great pics and very useful information! This site is gonna be on the top of my list!
Those pics bring back some fond memories of last year at Ganes!I hunted most of the week with my EXII running it wide open(IM-15/16,ferrous tones)and in digital display.I never did swing over a monster but was satisfied I could hear gold and ignore iron Ganes is famous for! based on audio tone.A big minelab PI is definatley not the first choice up there.A good discriminator is what one needs,my trusty explorer came through.I know if I swung over a biggie I would have dug it.
I hope you hit some biggies next month up there!
I wish I was goin again!

Take care

Marc

Hey, he bears an uncanny resemblance to Mike Tyson with that nugget in his mouth! I love gold; great post. :)
