Here's Part 2 of 3...
In this "fun filled episode" we have the Minelab Excalibur with a standard 10" coil.
From this experiment I got something I didn't expect, the Sunray coil was actually more sensitive to small/ thin gold chains than the 10" coil.
The Sunray would pickup on the chains and the small clasps on the chains; however the 10" coil picked up the Heavy 10k gold chain better than the Sunray coil.
The 10" coil would pick up the Heavy Gold chain up to 5 inches away, where the sunray coil would only pick it up 2 to 3 inches away
The only thing is, when I find "small gold" like claps and other tiny items, I usually find those in areas loaded with iron;
the 10" coil would be better suited for these "iron infested" areas, so I would have to say the 10" coil has a little edge in this regard.
Also, The "Gold in Water" settings were pretty bad, I wonder how much more gold he would find if he used different settings??
Maybe something got lost in translation between him and Clive, I don't know! I've tried these settings at the beach with no luck..???
Anyway, Stay tuned for Part 3, when I pull out the "Little Yellow Fellow" - pretty amazing...but my backyard ain't no salt beach either!!
