Minelab Excaliber vs Fisher CZ 7A

I have two beach hunting buddies always hunting together, one with an Excaliber, the other with a CZ 7A. The Excaliber friend is slightly more experienced but always find much more gold and jewelry than his CZ 7A friend.Is the Excaliber superior to the CZ, or is it just inexperience on the part of my CZ friend?
 
iv owned both of these and on land i think they were about equal BUT on salt sand there is no question,the Excal will perform much better.it just handles the salt/black sand better!
