It appears minelab are aware of shortcomings on 600/800 and have improved things on that front and added a few extra features.
Not a Legend user but think they are trying to claw back some things, trouble is minelab are still twice the price.

The Equinox 600 and 800 still continue their great 5 year run.
In fact, my Equinox 800 still performs extremely well.

The new Equinox 700 / 900 take that 1 step further, and offer Minelabs latest technology.
The new Minelab Manticore takes it to yet another level.

My neighbor has a legend, and lets just say he is not satisfied with it, and is getting a new Minelab!
We extensevly compared my 800 to his legend (he had me do all the firmware updates :mad:), and in our opinion, there is no comparison!
In fact, he often borrows my Equinox, while his brand new Legend sits in a closet!

Nokta Legend consumers with a warranty remaining, will be the only ones "clawing back", IF Nokta goes out of business due to the patent infringment lawsuit.

Right about the time that Nokta dropped the price on the Legend. Seems they were maybe building a war chest of sorts to pay for Minelab suit.
 
I wonder how xp managed to navigate around all the patent issues or are they next on the minelab hit list?

Hmm seems as if they will sue anyone competing with their profits.
I see XP didn’t go out of business or stop

If ML just dropped the price a little to a more fair point they would do great.
NM going out of business is a real stretch Lol.
If someone is that concerned just buy two more legends for spares as you can get three for the price of one ML.
As for the lawsuit propaganda users can’t have it both ways.
You can’t claim it was copied that would mean they are basically identical, and choose to pay twice as much for one of them. That makes no sense for most.
You are obviously paying double because you think it’s different in a better way
