Yes. Use the dropdown boxes

You dont have the blue tooth option? If you have connected your etrac via USB to your pc you should be able to up load and down load files you saved from the minelab site. I dont remember if I need to have the etrac on when I did this. Im in the US and as a new user I only use two modes. One is a coin program and the other is a relic program. Now you can also make your own if your not able to down load modes. I have the Andy S. manual and it will have a lot of neat info. If your still having trouble, goto the minelab site and see if there is something your missing. Good Luck.

If you connect your E-Trac to your PC via the USB and you have the Exchange program installed. Start up the Exchange program. Turn on your E-Trac while it is plugged in to the PC.

If you want to load patterns and modes into the Exchange program to then upload to the E-Trac while in the Settings Tab on the dropdown box at the bottom you see "Open Mode From File". Click on that and find the E-Trac Mode file. You must first download a mode file from either the Internet or from your E-Trac. You can load patterns from the Patterns Tab and the dropdown box pick "Upload a Pattern to E-Trac" and then browse to the .ptrn file you have downloaded from the Internet or the E-Trac. Once you have the mode or pattern file in Exchange just dropdown the "Upload to E-Trac" option.

Here is a video showing the process.

Southwind and jd88047. Thank you for the replies. I just started detecting and I have a lot to learn..

I have to replace the foam hand grip on my detector. Obviously the new one won't fit over the battery end of the handle. How much trouble is it to take the control head off the handle. It it's too much trouble then maybe i'll just use baseball bat grip wrap...:yikes:

I would not take your detector apart. May consider a after market grip from Ebay. I use vet tape which is stylish and keeps my detector safe. It also has a really good feel when you pick up the detector. Wet sweaty hands dont slip.
