Minelab Detector Showcase Expo in Lisle, IL on 11/28

While this might be short notice, I wanted to post it since I had not seen anything here on Findmall about it.

Minelab is hosting a Detector Showcase event at the Hyatt hotel in Lisle, IL just off I-88 on 11/28 from 1PM to 5PM. There will be a detector given away every hour and a number of other things taking place.

Chicago Ron, Chuck Smalley and myself will be conducting training and explaining fine tuning the Minelab units . . . . .

If you are in the area, feel free to swing by and say Hi . . . . always enjoying meeting fellow treasure hunters and while the weather is not ideal (35F here at the hotel), there is some grass outside we can demo settings and I will have my laptop to load files onto E-Trac's or CTX 3030's if wanted.

The address for the hotel is 1400 Corporetum Drive, Lisle, IL 60532

Hope to see you there

Man, This is 20 minutes away. Just might have to stop by
and check it out and say hey to Andy as I attended the
Deus Bootcamp in Tennessee and had a great time along
with meeting some great people that were in attendance
and had a good field hunt there...

Too far for me, but I'm sure there a more than a few within driving distance for it.

It would be great to have something like that out west......since the Las Vegas office closed.

Need something like that to happen close to me here in Louisiana.

Doesn't look like there was much interest in it?

edit... pics were the wrong event. Don't know how well it was attended, Any time they are giving away detectors, usually has a big turnout.

Had about 300 people show up . . . room was filled to capacity throughout the day . . . the weather was bad which kept us from going out for some detecting and demos but what do you expect from Chicago in late November :)

Andy

Hey Des D,
Where were you Mr. Minelab? It was a great time and some of Chicago's best were there
and I met people that drove from other states and prizes were given away.
The weather like Andy said was cold and miserable but there was a full
house at all times. Me personally came to meet my fellow treasure hunters
and to see Andy again as I attended his Tennessee Boot Camp.
Andy is truly a Great asset to this hobby. I had to
post this as you sounded a tad negative
Don't take it personal.People don't always have to post
just to say the had a great time... Can't wait for the next one!!!

Hi silverseeker2,
"I wasn't there! Haven't been to Chicago since 1983
My "remit" with Minelab didn't extend to the USA
Des D"

I went there and talked with Minelab people and I showed them my Etrac with vibration. They like it and took some pictures of it. Maybe someday machine with button vibration inside metal detector. I showed them what I find with my Etrac with vibration around Chicago. 1825 Large Cent, my first two cent, shield Nickel and 1942 silver half dollar. I talked with few people and Chicago Ron for one hour then I left. I don't see any new metal detectors but maybe I miss something. The show is nice but not wow!
