Minelab Customer Service

I just got my Xterra 70 back from Minelab for warranty work and Minelab has one of the best service managers around. Her name is Sandy Burton and she is a true professional. People tend to flip out when their new detector breaks, but she handled the crazy guy(me) with kid gloves. She delivered on every promise she made and she got my detector back to me in record time. Nobody likes to send a detector back to the company, but you can rest easy with Sandy. PS, I got a chance to give the 70 a work out today and it is a real performer. I used the 10.5 7.5 htz coil today and I would swear that I was swinging a lightweight Explorer. Found some silver and a couple of wheats, with some 9 inches deep. Even with the bigger coil, the detector was light and responsive. R.L. Johnson

With service like that, how could you not love minelab :minelab:
Cheers!

Nothing's worse than sending your machine in, waiting weeks and then getting it back not fixed. That happened to me on a previous detector...not fun. It's good to know Minelab stands behind their machines should we ever need to send them in. Thanks for the report. Ron

I've called in a few times and talked to her, sometimes she answers the phone as if not in a good mood or tired and say cheer up and she knows my voice.Of course her day is just beginning as mine is 1/2 over.
She is very knowledgable and patient.Asked her if I was the worst one to call and she said theres a couple more that fits in that range, you must be one of them.
I dont know if this is a problem, but some of push buttons make a crinkle sound when mashed, she put me thru to Bill and he said I could send it in and they would replace the face.I may just wait to see if it gets worse, then send it,after all it does have a 4 year warranty.

Nice Folks they are!

The detector started falsing and beeping erratically. It was just as though I was over buried wire or hidden dog fence. I took it back to where this happened and it ran smoothly. That DD coil is a great addition and even though it is heavier than the stock 9 inch coil, it is still a very light rig. R.L.
