A few months ago I had sent my E-Trac in to get it repaired. It would turn off and on while idle until the battery ran down. There didn't seem to be any detecting abilities lost, but since it was in warranty I wanted it checked out. They replaced the faceplate which usually the problem associated with mine and they had it back to me in a little over a week. A few weeks ago I heard it doing it again and contacted Minelab. They sent a UPS label in an email and I sent it back. I received a call 2 days after it arrived and they informed me because of the recent repair and not being able to find a remedy that they would be sending me a new E-Trac... I still hear people complain about how bad their customer service is, but I don't see it at all.. I have never had a company send me a brand new detector, it has always been a refurbished unit!!!! This speaks volumes about how they have changed the way they handle their customers. I appreciate the way they have made an apparent turn around....
