Peak season seems to be everywhere these days! Tell Bob grats!

Got a very late start on the season myself this year - just too much other stuff to do. Despite that I've been hitting real well with a half dozen silver rings, a couple nice necklaces and 4 gold rings so far - all in less than 4 trips out. Been doing much better in fresh water ponds/swimming areas than the ocean, but gonna keep hitting it!

Take care - enjoy your trip to NC coming up.

Was he hunting with another fella or alone? I spent a good 4 hours at Hampton around low tide and got a good pocketful of change, the normal garbage, a nice 10K gold hoop earring and a silver ring.

Just for the heck of it I hit Salisbury on the way home by the pavilion and I wish I had gone there at low tide instead of Hampton - I was hitting tons of clad and picked up a nice silver pendant - lots and lots of targets around, but the waves seemed to be 2-3 times higher there and the tide was covering the target zone too fast for me to really take my time.

Finally finished off with a trip to the local "mucky" pond I found some gold rings in last fall. Picked up a nice little .925 heart pendant and chain, a bunch of wheat pennies, a 10K hand made gold signet ring and my oldest class ring to date 10K 1929 Lowell High School.

It has first and last initials inside and although it's not real huge, it has the look of a mans ring. Contacted Lowell High School alumini and gonna see if we can track that one down - the owner is likely passed on, but perhaps we can find a family member. Funny thing is they're also trying to track down the owner of a 1954 Lowell HS class ring I found at the same spot last fall.

Things have definitely started heating up for me.

I'm sure I'll run across you guys as well sometime this summer. Have fun in VA (not NC - I don't know what I was thinking!).
