Found this button about 6 inches down in an old compacted drive here in Florida. The area has Civil War and Seminole Indian War history. It was in my own yard the house we have dates back to 1883. The detector used was a Tesoro Vaquero.

I have found more than several and have always attributed them to a button that was used on kids clothing. I remember them from the early 60's, yes I had a cowboy, sailor and solder suits, my Mother dressed me up like that.
