This item was found in Middle Tennessee where both Civil War activity and WW2 maneuvers were experienced. It appears to be a lapel pin and I am guessing from WW2??

Looks like WWII non issue that was permitted to be worn on uniform. The peeling of metal at seven o'clock on the disc may indicate a novelty pin.The crossed rifles show it was an Infantry outfit.

Infantry insignia, brass still used to day...

What's on the back.

its a sharp shooters button from the civil war only 22 are known and your is in the best condtion,i think they were up at auction for 2000 dollars each, good find!
