Mike in Ky, about the the bandido

Hi Mike,

I tried out the bandido you sold me today, and it seems the threshold knob is not working.
the face plat seems lose, so when you push on the knob it makes a very loud threshold noise, and when you pull it back out it dosn't make any noise at all...don't know what to do. any suggestions? Rick

All I can say is the faceplate was not loose and the threshold worked fine when I shipped it. If you're not satisfied, either send me everything back and I'll give you you're money back or send it to Tesoro and have them check it. If there is a bill to fix it , I'll pay for it. That's all I can do.

Mike

Hey Mike,

No, I am keeping it. I was just wondering about the shape of the detector, because the box was pretty crumbled when it got here. I'm going to fiddle with it for awhile and if it still is ACTING up at all I will send it in to tesoro for a check-up. I'm sorry I didn't explain it better the first time, I didn't mean to imply that you would sell me a broken machine... thanks again ,I am really glad to have a bandido back in my arsenal. I will keep you posted on whats up with it too... Rick

Rick, I had just spent quite a bit fixing it up before I sold it. It was in very good shape. It should have been when UPS delivered it unless they screwed it up. Let me know if Tesoro charges you anything and I'll take care of it.

Mike

Hey Mike ,
No problem. I'll see if its just an adjustment or what, and if I have to
I'll send it to tesoro to check it out.. I'll keep in touch with you...
thanks again , I can't wait to try it at an old site i'm hunting. I found some cool
tokens there tonite.

Both of you have one of the best detectors Tesoro ever made in your arsenal!

I have dealt with Mike on a number of occasions and can't figure why he had 'issues' with any Classified posting son the 'other' Tesoro site. Every deal with up-front, honest, and smooth.

Rick, I'm glad to see that you appreciate Mike's offers to you, and commend you on your choice to keep it and have Tesoro take care of it ... if necessary.

Mike, I got your E-mails and I will be in touch shortly!

I hope you both have an enjoyable summer of detecting and find a lot of great stuff!

Monte

Hey Monte,

Good to hear from you.. You were the one that helped me so much back in 00 when i got my bandido and then traded you for the eldorado for the bandido and the toltec 100. you were suppose to keep that bandido for your self. and now I see you are looking for another one..
I know what you mean though, I wished I never traded mine away.It was such a hot machine..
Anyways I got to start hunting with a freind and he has turned me on to old sites,, and I am havin tons of fun.. the ban dido I got from Mike doesn't seem to be workin right, the threshold is very unstable. so I' m going to send it in to tesoro and see if they will adjust it for me,
hahaa like they wouldn't!!! anyway I don't think that Mike would have sold it in that condition either. The box was pretty crushed when I got it, so I'm thinking that they stacked too much on it or somthing and crunched it.
And here (I hope) are some pics. of the stuff I found at the old site..

generally terrific attention to a customer's unit needs.

I always ship USPS, and Priority mail. gets there faster, and almost always in great condition. I just received a package by UPS on Friday that only came from the Seattle area to the Portland area. Shipped on Thursday, and the box was punctured on BOTH sides, and the office computer was dented and scratched on one side.

Got a new detector in a week ago, shipped UPS, and it had two big puncture holes on the top, large side of the box that, fortunately, missed the detector's control housing and the display.

I am sure you'll be pleased when it comes back from Tesoro.

Monte

Keep finding those oldies! :)
