flower pots in the house? If she does, I have one heck of a good idea for you, trust me! Kelley (Texas) :)

after thinking about it, it would not be worth the risk of losing those plants. I would think that someone that is snow bound could take some flower pots, plant different coins in them, then practise pinpointing with the metal detector. Kelley (Texas) :)

had and still have dirt floors in the cellars. I hunt those every chance I get as the kids played there, split wood there, many had root cellars there....Lots of goodies to be had if there still dirt. Even old barns offers up stuff from time to time. Mind you, most were broke back then and di dmore bater type echange than money up in this neck of the woods. The old cellar holes here can be good also but you will pick thru a lot of junk. I know of a couple in a big pine stand that might still be huntable right now as they tend to stay a little soft, I suspect from all the pine needle layers on top. Ocean front beaches still offer the best shot this time of year here. Just need to be dressed for it and really really want to be out there. January thaw here or early Feb usually gives us a chance to hunt above freezing, and to most New Englanders, thats good weather. Guess it depends where old man winter sets the bar to what seems nice later in the winter. I bet if I were hunting your area in summer, due to all the high heat, I would look like a wilted lilly. Above 90, I'm pretty much useless.

Just came in from plowing the snow that fell overnight.....Had to give the diesel a small snort of ether to get her interested in running.

Here is a shot.

however, I did get a new scoop so I am thinking I might put on the dry suit and hit one of the lakes for a wade.. If I do not go too deep into the water, I will not get all that cold. I will put a couple of those little heat packs in my pockets and around my toes... I will be fine..... even at 12-14 degrees.

And when I am in there, all is comfortable.Since I have the heating coils from the boiler right in the cement floor, when it gets warm , I can leave it for days at a time and not worry. That cement acts as a huge radiator.

well as my son has it in his concrete house he built. All in the floors and its really nice. Constant heat, no noise. His is done via a hot water heater, think I have some pictures of it here....I've really been impressed with how it works and very inexpensive. It a work shop its got to really be nice....warm feet to. I should have put up a shop long time ago. I always used the barn but for most part, do it outside.... I have a block heater on it and a heater that circulates the prestone in it also. Down side is its usually away from where I have power. I should just put it by the house or barn when I'm done, but I don't.... Jane is usually giving me a hard time when it don't start. Jeeze, George, why don't you just put it in your garage you built....%#$@$$%&, yeah I know, thrifty yankee's will pinch a nickel until the buffalo is on his knee's....

Here is the set up my son put in to handle all his zones with his in floor unit.... If I had it to do over, I'd do it that way. Much more even steady heat.

I see he has two pumps. Is one a backup in case the other packs it in?

has the lines in the concrete floor downstairs and also in the new addition we built upstairs.... Those he ran between all the floor Joice. I was asking him at Christmas how that part of it work and he said was fine. I think he said the change in water temp was more up there that it was flowing in the concrete. I know they had to mess with it a lot at first. It was to hot or his water was to hot, so they went over to this setup. Seemed like the water left at around 90 and came back at 82 or somewhere in there....... Now I'll have to get the full details..... Sure is a nice heat. Feet are always warm...
