First, let me say my wife is not feeling well this morning.

There is so much to say about the Biltmore House.

This is the biggest house in America. It was been in movies and They have many gardens.

Biltmore House was built by George W Vanderbilt.

George W Vanerbilt (1862 - 1914 ) was the gandson of " The Commodore" Cornelius Vanderbilt, and a member of the family with vest forture in shipping and railroads. Flavoring art over industry, George Vanderbilt studied lanuages, architecture, and history interest reflected in his magnificent country home. begun in 1889 when he was a 27 year-old bachelor.

Vanderbilt officially opened Biltmore House on Christmas Eve 1895.inviting his family to celebrate his new home. Three years later he bought his bride, Edith Stuyesant Dresser (1873 - 1958 ) to live at Biltmore folling their Italian honeymoon. Their only child, Cornelia (1900 - 1976) was born in Biltmore House. After Vanderbilt's untimely death in 1914, Edith Vanderbilt continued to mange the estate. Biltmore House was the site of Cornelia's 1924 wedding reception celbrating her marriage to the Honorable John Franis Amherst Cecil, and where the Cecils' two sons were born. In 1930 the Ceil family opened Biltmore to the public, responding to request of Ashville leaders hoping to increase ares tourism, during the Depression. Today George Vanderbilt's grandson William A.V. Cecil, owns Biltmore Estates, Under his leadership, many restoration efforts were undertaken to ensure the preservation of this national treasure. His son, William A.V. Cecil Jr, continues that focus as chief excutive office of Biltmore Estates
