no one is around down there, nothing on the news or in the papers???
Not sure where to look next, but I will try!

and they might let you know something - at least if it had been a safe evacuation they might say everyone is fine otherwise they may say nothing - either people were injured or killed or it is under investigation if it appeared to be an arson situation or under investigation if it was arson with intent to murder. Only way to know is to check with one of the firefighters if ya know any or if you are friends with a police officer he might know or be able to find out more. Still we all pray for the safety of all.

Thanks Mike.

Hey question for ya - are the fire and police on digital frequencies or are they on the older system? If not on digital I have a police scanner you can have to listen in on fire and police calls.

Seems most have joined the State Police and DNR and have gone to digital frequencies and a scanner for listening in to digital is about $450. My old scanners won't pick up much any more - little activity on the old frequencies even up here in the Houghton Lake area. (Maybe the fire dept or police will tell you if they have 'gone digital'. If not let me know and I can send you a scanner for the old frequencies.

Not sure about the digital freq? I know my wife bought me a nice hand held scanner a couple years ago and I can't figure out how to listen to chatter?
