Might as well 'show and tell'

Larry and I went out for a while before lunch. Here's my meager finds. I had fun trying......sometimes. Except for those stinking square roofing tacks! :sadwalk: Each one sounded good, but there was something different about them. I couldn't pinpoint what it was.............so I kept digging the blasted things. :rage: I found the old fruit jar lid in tact with the partial zinc lid. It has Consolidated Fruit Jar Company New York on it. Also found the Alabama Tax Token. Had a few odd and ends, but mostly odds!!! Hey Rob, I found two rings also...... Not a lot of clad, but it all adds up in the end. Thanks for looking and HH to all, Nancy

I found some lids but mine were all plain, yours is really nice. I like all the tax tokens, I don't find many. In the photo the heart looks like it is old. Have you got the yard covered yet? I'm glad you guys were able to get out. Keep up the good work. Rob

The heart is a button and not old. And for the yard that I was so excited about.........I think it's been hit before. I found the one Merc. dime and Larry found a 194? Wheat cent. That was the only old coins. Lots of fill. I did find the old milk colored jar seal there near the old drive. That must have been their dump pile. We won't give up on it. I still think we should have a shot at some more goodies there. Those darn square things are a pain in the @##. HH and enjoy this weather! Nancy

Looks like you have an old site there Nancy. You know a site is never hunted out, when I found the 1917 & 1923 quarters the lot had been hit several times by the local expert. I have all the confidence in you.

Is the large ring brass? This one was found in a schoolyard...
