Midwest Gold refineries????

Old Katz

New member
Has anyone sold gold to this company and are they reputable?

Are there any other refineries to sell gold to?
Katz

I know people that have and have heard very good things. They deliver 94% of spot price. Remember to take your stones out they do not give you $$ for them. Good luck to you, Beale.

have not personally used them but have close friends who have, they are very reputable and easy to deal with

Just read on another site that Midwest Refineries come highly recommended and are legit and will give you either cash, 1 oz. .999 fine silver bars or 1 oz. .999 fine silver coins for your .925 fine silver jewelry. Although when I figured out one detectorist's payout percentage for receiving 1 oz. .999 fine painted Walking Liberty coins from the silver he sent them, their payout ratio only came to 68%, a far cry from the 90% they claim to pay for .925 silver jewelry. He claimed to have sent them an average of 135 grams of .925 silver jewelry for every 3 coins he got in return which meant he was sending them an average of 4.76 oz. of .925 silver jewelry or the equivalent of 4.4 oz. .999 jewelry in return for (3) 1 oz. .999 silver coins which comes out to a 68% payout ratio. Of course .999 fine silver coins and bars (coins in particular) have a higher resale value too.

We send them the gold from our mine and they are honest ,fast and if you want bars or coins, they charge extra. We have had very good luck in dealing with Mid West Refineries.

Here we have a coin dealer that deals on volume for scrap jewelry. We used them a year or so ago to what I felt was good effect. I don't recall exactly what their payout was but if I recall it was better than 90%. It was also Immediate and required no shipping and insurance. They are also my favorite coin shop, and have good integrity. They're website claims to pay out highest available market scrap price, nationwide.

I suspect most larger cities have a coin dealer that will match their performance, payout and integrity.

luckily I have a dealer who ALWAYS pay 100% of spot on any 90% silver coins. He has customers on waiting lists for silver so he knows whatever he buys is already spoken for.

I haven't tried to sell any coin yet. Is 100% of spot on coin good? Somehow I thought a guy might do better.

You will not get that by selling on ebay or any other place I know of.

I would have to disagree with that, I can get spot and above for ANY silver coin at local shop or by selling them on on other forums

well in a way........spot is actually the current daily value of silver, wheather it be a coin, a ring, or whatever
here is the site to actually check "spot" of silver, the first one just shows you US coins

Thanks again i had never heard it called spot . I learn something from you guys all the time .

yeah both gold and silver have a daily "spot" price, that kitco site, is udated constantly thruout the day as silver/gold rises and falls

But hey if you got buyers that will, good for you!
