Went to the local middle school twice this past week to experiment with two detectors and two coils. On the first hunt I split the 3 hours about evenly using the Vaq with and SEF 10x12 coil abd a Minelab 705 with the stock coil. Did not notice much difference between the two in finding power (Got $5.00 in clad) with both in total, and found a silver ring with the Minelab and a copper/base metal bangle with the Vaq. Went back to the same place a few days later and just hunted with the Vaq using the 5.75 coil. Got $4.00 in clad and 2 more of the same types of bangles. Also found a necklace clasp that said 925 on it but it was a bit dull. I brought it to my friendly and said the 925 can also be put on silver plated with Rhodium. Not sure if it is true silver.
