You always know your stuff....its about 6-7 inches long....appears to be brass..

Wow! If you can find the knife that went in it, its probably got a handle made out of rhino horn...which would be worth some jingle there! Since you are on such a roll, I wouldn't doubt you could find it!

The point of that sheath looks a little to small for a kukri blade. the kukri blade is a little wider towards the tip. Though I could be wrong
 
Looks like the sheath for a middle easter knife called Jambiya dagger.
