MH CX 2 with analog meter. I'm interested in a detector

with the old style analog meter that the CX 2 has. Is it a fair detector? Not looking for great depth, just another detector to play with. Currently have 2 Coinstrikes, they go deep enough for me. Any info is appreciated. Jabbo

Fully automatic OneTouch( Operation - Microprocessor controlled - OneTouch( reset to factory settings - Power Master( circuitry - Deepseeking All Metal mode - Fast Track( 5-second ground balance - Ground Track( continuous ground balance - Discriminate modes with dual-range Ferrous/Non-ferrous discrimination - Depth Multiplier( capability - 3 audio ID choices: Belltone, Bi-Level, Standard - 4 frequency choices - Volume control - Precise Visual target ID - Coin depth measurement - Automatic pinpointing - Loudspeaker - Stereo headphone jack - 3 lb., 14 oz. - Six C-cell batteries

It's a prertty good machine, compared witheven with some of today's machines. It has the Power Master circuitry, which gives decent depth

John, Thanks for the info. I posted WTB in the classified section. Jabbo

What John said. However, I don't believe that the CX 2 had PowerMaster circuitry. They started putting the PowerMaster circuitry on the CX 3 back in '96. I think that's around the time that they stopped making the CX 2. Not to take anything away from the CX 2. I had one o'those babies for over twenty years. It's a great machine.
Best of luck to ya!
Happy Hunting!:)

z8chase, I did check out the one you told me about on Craigslist, it's the CX, an economy version of the CX2. But 3 days later I found a CX2 for sale for $150 on Craigslist in Michigan, I'm in NJ. I called Mike, the seller, he was very nice, said everything works perfectly, no issues. His grandfather bought it new and when the grandfather died Mike got it but he rarely used it, not into detecting. Yesterday, I sent Mike a Postal Money Order for $180 for the detector and shipping. Craigslist all across the U.S can be searched simply by going to Google and typing in CRAIGSLIST AND THE THING YOU ARE LOOKING FOR. Google will find it if it's listed on Craigslist anywhere in the U.S. Good to know. HH, Jabbo
