I just got back from Rocky Point Mexico. I have the alpha 2000. And did I score. I found 16 gold rings 5 bracelets ,an old pocket watch.and 5 small gold nuggets.
The tide goes down at 6 pm I mean way down. That's when you want to hit it before the sun goes down.Everyone goes home and I come out.I just stayed in one area.
I'm going back in a couple weeks to hit the other areas.

Hi Phxhunter !,

You really "packed-in" the good stuff and with the lowest-cost Teknetics "Greek" model ! .. If you are familiar with Tabdog, he did the same thing with the Tesoro Compadre !.. Goes to show it's not always whether you spend more for a model that has lots of Bells and Whistles, but rather (a) going where the good stuff lives and (b) getting to know your detector ! ;)

Good hunting when you hit the other areas and please let us know what you find.

Nice post.
