Metrotech Metal Detector

Thought I would share some pics of one of the first metal detectors not made for the military. The Metrotech Metal detector was the detector "of choice" in the early 60's. A ton of civil war relics were recovered in the Richmond Va area with this machine.
 
Thanks for the picture Tom, does it still work? And how does it match up with new MDers today?

. Yes it still works. In fax the coil is new. I contacted Metroteh and a employee found the coil in the anerhouse. No comparison to modern day MD,
