Not necessarily beach and water but so very kewl! Good info for those who feel they may have found a meteorite in their scoop. This guy is making a living doing what we all love, metal detecting. Apparently, meteorites are now considered to be an art form and they sell for big bucks. There's more than golden treasure out there.

Cheers,

BDA:cool:

The Brenham meteorite found by Steve Arnold is a Pallasite. A Pallasite is a iron/nickel meteorite that contains Olivine crystals. They are often sliced real thin and then backlit to bring out the incredible colors. Here's a picture. I wish they made pull tabs that looked like this...LOL

Awesome post, would love to find one like the one in the picture. A million bucks would buy a lot of detecting eqipment, and a property as a home base! Thanks for sharing, God bless, Nugget :ausflag:

Nugget,

Wouldn't we all like to find one like that. Not sure where you live but besides Kansas there is a Pallasite strewn field in Glorietta New Mexico.

Hi, people. Been lurking for the last week or 2, picking up some good tips and things, and just got my brand new X Terra-70 last week :clapping:.

Anyhoo, I just thought I'd share this site I came across for those who may have found something they think could be a meteorite.

Found A Metorite?

Hope it's useful for someone.

Happy hunting
