Hi all....

I'm getting a little concerned with Docs ignoring us....he usually jumps right in and gives his .02 centavos...

He may be busy wrapping lumps of coal for all of us who have not posted for a while!!

Get better soon, Doc!!

I know how those shoulder surgeries go....I had both of mine scraped and mended at the same time, for sheer economic reasons...

Now THAT will give you fits trying to figure out how to "do yer duty"!

Tain't easy!!:help:

Have a good one!

I am a firm believer that the pain meds they give you through the IV while you are under causes you several problems.

First, it's very hard to come out of the anesthesia, second your drowsy as hell all day long, third, for me, and many others, it makes you sick and you throw up.

I went into surgery at 8:00 am. I was home by 10:30 am.

When you don't have drugs, you snap right out of anesthesia. Because you are wide awake and alert, you can immediately begin being a major pain in the a s s.

I've found being a pain in the a s s, is the fastest way for the staff to get you out of there.

I have a fantastic young ortho surgeon, Dr. Roger Fontes. Great sense of humor! I taped a note that said "DOCTOR's CHECKLIST" to my shoulder with little boxes to check. He didn't see it until I was under and they did theprep on my shoulder. It said, "1. [ ] Had Coffee 2. [ ] Said Prayer 3. [ ] Sharpened Knife."

When I got home and took off my shirt to inspect the bandage job they had done, there was the note, taped to the bandage, with each item checked off, then Dr. Fontes signed it and drew a smiley face.

I'll be good as new as soon as I quit screaming from pain.

Take Care!

Ah there you are DOC,
good to know you are well enough to be a pain in the A**
I like the Dr's checklist idea...I'll bet they had a good laugh too.

Have great holidays DOC, and thankyou for all you have done.

Yes, Glad to hear all went well mate.
At least they didn't give you the breast implants you originally wanted.

Have a great Xmas Doc and to your beautiful family too.
