I ran across this yesterday. The compadre gives a solid tone on it just like a coin hit. What is it ?
 
Not sure.
I found something similar the other day. Looked like asphalt with other rocks inside. So there was probably a piece of metal in it. Funny thing was, my compadre sounded on it my not my AT propointer.

That's it. Cans thrown in the fire, then cleaned out and burried with the ashes & coals. Lot's around me (I do camp sites). Smaller lumps will sound clicky at max disc. You can't help but dig a few.
 
I went back and searched the upper end of the field, found another melted glob, looks like aluminum this time. That pepsi twist cap can be found everywhere here.
 
I was hoping for meteorites when I started, but after some research, you'll know when you get one, very heavy, stick to a magnet probably, etc.
