Metal pipe

RRandy

New member
Hi folks
Can anyone give me an idea of what operating frequency range would be best for detecting buried metal pipes (3/4" and larger)....with a traditional type detector (VLF), and... what frequency for detecting bundles of 14 gage solid copper wire (2 to 50 wires at about 16" deep).

Thanks
Randy

Whites PCL 600 works great. 2 strands of 14 gauge copper wires at 16 inches will be tough with a conventional machine. Now 50 strands of 14 gauge wire at 16 inches should be easily picked up. If your tracing pipe and wires there's no substitute for the right machine. I have used the PCL 600 with great success. Plus you can run an ad and perform locates for people for some extra cash.
