Metal in my etrac

DEEP-ON

I was looking at somethings on my etrac today, and turned it upside down, I had taken the battery out a little while back, I could hear something clanking around in where the battery goes, and out comes a 1x1 3/8 or so piece of metal with a drilled and taped hole in the center. I live alone and can't see how it could of got in there, has anyone seen this before, I have looked in there and dont see where it could have come loose from, it seems a mystery and is buging me?

That piece is a spring contact for you battery, I do believe. Remember how your battery pops out when you trip it, I really think that is what it is. I also think it would've been riveted or spotwelded, so that has come loose.

If it still works, I'd just use it, unless this is frozen off season for you, then you might try and get it repaired.

Thanks for the response Neb, I just took the plastic arm cuff off, I got a really nice metal one with a neoprine cover thay you put on it. Anyway the metal is exactly like the one that sits in a grove and lets the cuff go up and down, same threads and all, the screw that holds on the cuff, threads rite into the piece that came out of the battery compartment. All I can think is they must of droped it into there during asembly, and its been there all the time and I never noticed it, I have a RNB battery and would get close to a week of hunting after work, and then a couple hours on the charger and back in it would go. But I took it out for the frozen, off season, here in N.H. and was messing with the det and could hear a clunking in the batt compartment. I am glad I now know it is just some of Minelabs spare parts.

That's good to hear! I was just going off what I thought it would be. Hope all is well with it!

This metal piece left in the factory was able to short circuit, because battery springs is open. Sabotage in factory :lmfao:
