Metal Detector Reviews

That web site that rates metal detectors claims to be "the trusted source for unbiased information".

Really? I posted 2 reviews of machines that I owned, both reviews praised and were critical of each model. One review was posted for a couple of weeks, and now it's gone, The other review never was posted. Hmmm....

How can it truly be unbiased if they pick and choose which reviews to include? Couldn't that easily be used to manipulate the results? Exclude reviews that might drag down the rating of brand X but include the ones that make brand Y look bad.

Unbiased? I don't think so.

Do any companies advertise on their site?

I've submitted reviews and none were ever published.

I know I didn't sound as dumb as a lot of those guys.

They have testimonials by one week old newbies and won't publish mine.:argue:

It's smoke and mirrors as far as I'm concerned.

It must just be advertising.

what site is that...www. ???????

I guess I should had ought a told you that. There's lots of MD review places.

This is the one I was talking about

http://metaldetectorreviews.net/

I read some of the reviews until I realized that most of the reviewers didn't know much about detecting.

Or may be because they wouldn't publish my reviews and they would publish dorky reviews. Maybe mine was dorky too:blink:

HH,

I just went to read a review again that I read just yesterday - it was removed - what's up with that :starwars:

I missed out on a Spectrum XLT - lightly used like new condition for 200.00 - she just didn't want to try it anymore :sadwalk:

:starwars:

I don't agree with everything in those reviews - but do get some useful information at times.

But my point is the review was gone (wasn't on the XLT) and I didn't see any reason for removal
