Metal Detector Ear Buds?

County Po Po

New member
I see a problem on my newly started metal detecting horizon. I live in Mississippi and it's already hot here. I bought a set of headphones and i like them, but they are already hot. I can just imagine what the summer is going to be like. Does anyone make an ear bud type set or something similar for metal detecting. If so, how do they work?

Glad you found some info on them. What brand of headphones do you use now? Can you put any type of cotton material over the padding? If you know someone that handy with a sewing machine, it would be very easy to make. My ear pads are leather and they breathe when it's too hot out and keeps my ears warm when it's cold out. HH, Nancy

You have to let us know how you like them. I have been looking for quality ear buds with a volume control with out much luck.

I like using them but I cant find a set with a long enough cord. Most have a 4 ft cord and yoy cant lay yhe detector down without taking them out

Run internet searches for TDK WR700 and Sleek Audio W-1 Kleer Wireless Headphones. I have not tried either of these but they sure look interesting. They are both battery powered portable wireless headphones.

I have the TDK WR700's, and they work great, but they are not earbuds, they are smaller than the over the ear type, and quite comfortable. Check out amazon for them, if you like.
