Metal Detecting Uniform!!!!

Active member
Someone on another site suggested that if you metal detect you have to dress accordingly. Sandals with black socks, shorts, either cut-off jeans or plaid,a straw hat (covered with pulltabs) and a tee shirt that says ask me about my grandchildren. :crylol::sadwalk::detecting: Hey maybe they are onto something could put our hobby in the same league as golf.:crazy:

I've thought about wearing one of those fluorescent yellow and orange vests that road and utility crews wear to keep people from bothering me. You could even put something like "PIPE FINDING TECHNOLOGIES" on the back of it and that would probably keep most people off your back.

Kinda like this?

Ive seen that here in Fla....I'm gonna look in the mirror before i head out next time...The only thing more boring than golf, is ladies golf......HH bob.oz

How about this guys. I know it's a wild look but not a bad representation of what a relic hunter looks like. What do you think?

Revier, don't do that to me...I almost lost my morning coffee through my nose!

Not sure if the photo of the overweight guy is staged or intended to be laughed at, at his expense I might add. But good for him for getting out and trying to better his health. I get the impression that he does'nt care what he finds, but more important to him is that he lives a long, happy life like the rest of us !

I look and feel like 'Pigpen' from Charlie Brown when I detect LOL! My dog stays cleaner than I do! I think my car even creates its own dust storm wherever I go. HH. Matt
