Metal Detecting Trade Shows

I am looking to buy a new detector and as there are no MD stores in my area I am looking forward to the Gold and Treasure Show coming to the Seattle area in March, then I can actually handle different brands and models.
My question is, do the MD exibitors at the shows offer deals on MD sales that are better than what can be found normally for the various mail order companies like Kellyco, etc.
If so I will wait for the show, if not, then I may break down and but one sooner.

thanks
AB

AB never ben to one of those shows but i would think NOT?? Someone has to pay 4R theam being thier???? Mickfin

If you actually call or talk to a sponsoring dealer I'm positive they will give you a better deal than they can advertise. March is a long time to wait.

khouse is right. Dealers can sell cheaper they just can't advertise cheaper. Need to have a MDer Flea Market somewhere so people could buy sell or trade their unused or unwanted items. Good Luck on your new machine. HH

If you are planning on waiting till March to buy why not research three or four detectors that you are interested in getting, price them at several on-line places like Kellyco, and go to the show with the prices in your pocket. If you can get a better deal at the show, you are buy one there, if not, order one on-line. Good luck with your choice.

Call around to some of the dealers ( sponsors ) and do a little haggling. They are restricted on how much they can advertise detectors for but not how much they can offer you one for personally. With the economy the way it is they all need the business.

I've bought them at shows for a fair price, some times they will take trades too, ask if they have demo's, might be a little less
