Metal Detecting over frozen ground??

Sure, they work just fine on frozen ground, but the digging will kill you.... :surrender:

Trust me, been there, done that. At least I tried.

You may want to try in a heavily wooded area that has some decent ground cover, like old fallen leaves, you will find there is less ground frost to be found in these areas at times...

Good Luck

Yes, I found that out. Rock hard in some spots. The reason why I wondered was because I was getting plenty false beeps. I thought maybe the frost. I'll try setting the sensitivity setting & see if that helps.

Thanks for your reply!

Detecting over snow is like lifting your coil off the ground while detecting...You will lose that much depth for each inch of snow on the ground. I did not think this was true when I first heard it until I put it to the test...The added moisture will also give false signals, so just turn your SENS down a bit, and if you have it, adjust your Threshold.
