Metal Detecting for Relics Down South ! (100 degree Heat :ranting:)

Went hunting for relics today with DigginDeepSouthLA near a Civil War battlesite area in Southern LA. DDSLa. got started at daybreak. I got started at about 0930 (mistake) and it got too HOT too quick ! Too hot to dig. Did what we could, found a few keepers, then we packed it up after a few bullet finds. I then had a big Dr. Pepper and some fried chicken with DP71369. We got rain today so I was happy afterwards. THANKS FOR LOOKING. CCH

It sounds like your weather is about the same there as it is here EJ. It was 96 and muggy this afternoon and tomorrow is suppost to be even hotter. Heat index into the triple digits...... too darned hot for this old man to go hunting. As always, enjoyed the video............

Cool Video Cch!! I enjoyed that!! Oh yeah, it is way to hot for digging here in S Ms. too, and the ground is like cement. We finally got a good rain yesterday, first in many many days. As usual after those dry spells it comes in barrells with wind, lightening , and even a good blast of hail. Rain was sorely needed but after a good wind there are always tree limbs weakened by Katrina that still fall.A while back I had almost half a tree break and fall because of twisting and splitting from Katrina. LOL, sometimes they just fall without any wind. Y'all take care in this heat!! HH Charlie

Yes Sir you have been offering to host me on a hunt.. And you, I, and Richard will do that this fall if all goes as planned.
But I sure wouldn't mind hunting one of those fields from the video either. LOL. Maybe we could all get together and have a big hunt.

CCH, your videos always amaze me. You have some very nice places to hunt and come home with some beauties. Boy, that dirt looked as hard as concrete when you were digging.
