3RINGER

I'm wanting to get some good metal detecting DVD's for the family, have some friends who was asking Q about our hobby and i think this too would be a good way to bring them in by watching them.

We have the Dankowski DVD already. what do you all think?

thanks

Sorry, don't know of any, except for the one which was given me when I purchased the White's Spectrum XLT detector back in Nov 1994! Leaned a lot from the members of our Metal-Detecting Club and going hunting with them and out by myself! Practice makes perfect, but I was never perfect....Because I didn't find the Big Sparkling Diamonds or the Treasure Chest of gold, silver and jewels! There must be some DVD's on how to detect and what to do with the coins though! I think Dan Kowski used to belong to the club but not sure if he is the same person?! I used to see his brother when I went detecting but can't remember his name either! Good Luck and God Bless! :) Betty

I think the spelling was: Kosolowski or something like that, just has been too long ago! Betty

I have that DVD as well and it is very good...except as I pointed out to Dankowski is people might think they can use a shovel anywhere, Digging tools are different sizes for different uses. The small shovel he uses is great for open fields and farm land but not for city parks and playgrounds.

If someone has a Minelab detector I can recommend 2 videos (especially if using the Minelab Explorer S, XS, and II) is Exploring the Explorer and Exploring the Explorer - Advanced Edition.

There are some online videos via YouTube and Minelab Owners TV. Would post the urls but they get butchered for MLOTV. But I can say add a dot com after the mlotv and it will take you there.

show them many utube detecting videos. The forums are also a great place to see what others are finding.

Thanks, pulled up a bunch off u-tube.

Pete in MI- know what ya mean,

thanks again all

The only DVDs I found were at my White's dealer, but they were more sales pitches.

On YouTube there are some very nice short presentations I have been watching. Try various detector brand names, metal detecting, coinshooting, etc. Some are boring, some are very good shorts. Some might even be downloadable.
