METAL DETECTING ADVICE

I AM 78 YEARS OLD AND WAS GIVEN MY FIRST METAL DETECTOR 3 YEARS AGO.I ENJOY USING IT HOWEVER I DO NOT USE IT WELL.WHY,I DON'T KNOW.I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO GET TOGETHER WITH A VERY KNOWLEDGABLE METAL DETECTORIST WHO LIVES NOT REAL FAR AWAY FROM MOUNT LAUREL,NJ SOMEONE TO MEET AND TALK TO THAT CAN HELP ME SOLVE MY PROBLEMS AND HEAD ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.
 
Sir, I would look for a local metal detector shop or metal detecting club in your area. Also it might help to know what kind of machine and what you are searching for try posting over in the metal detecting forum section
There very knowledgeable people that can answer your questions .Good Luck , Ezra.
