meta detecting Vacation?

What would be you're places to go if you were wanting to go on a metal detecting vacation, and hopefully find enough to help offset the cost of the vacation.?
Europe is out of the running, would love to do the jimmy Seiarra thing but not in the budget this year.

trying to get some thoughts to plan something.

I think one or more beach resorts in out of the way places is probably your best chance. (Mexico and the Islands) Plan on hunting in the water for your best chances to find enough jewelry to pay the expenses. If you are really lucky, it might pay for next years vacation too. Plan on hunting early mornings and the last couple of hours before sunset cause the beaches will be very crowded during the day.
