Met a very nice detector guy from Canada

Hi everybody,

Well I met a really nice detector guy from Canada, He goes by the forum name Wet and Dry. He's in South California for a month I think he said. We talked on the forum a few times, and he told me he was coming to south Ca. to visit his Relative. Met him today at one of my beaches, what a nice guy. We detected a hour or so, He'd find a target with his Dual field, then I'd see if my Excal II could hear the same target, and it did. I did the same for him, and his heard all my targets. It's a good way to test detectors in the field. It's just nice to meet good people like Jeff, to bad he doesn't live here, he would make a good detecting buddy. Just wanted everyone to know I met good people today, Thanks Jeff for your kindness and new friendship. Maybe I'll make it up to Canada some day, and dig a toonie and loonie sometime. Gene

What beaches in SC are you usually hunting, Gene? I'm in the Charleston area so if you get down this way shoot me a pm. --Jerry

Hi Gene,
I met you on friday at Cardiff beach. I was the guy with the Tesoro Sand Shark. After talking to you ,I'm almost thinking of getting an Excal
Went back yesterday for an hour with my CZ20 because I was tired of picking up nails with the PI. One lady asked me if I found a set of keys. I found one car key tied on a loop of string and a few severely corroded pennies. It was nice not hitting the nails, I've got the Sand Shark in craigslist and I'll stick with the CZ20 for now.
Good meeting you, we'll have to get together for a beach hunt some time.

Hi Gene,
I met Jeff last friday at the beach, he found some rings and things he's taking back to Canada. Looked at his Surfmaster DF PI and I'm thinking of getting one now.

But did he also show you his trash? Thats my only drawback on Pulse machines. They are very good, but I get just as many Gold and Silver rings with my Excal II and a lot less trash. I do have a Pulse Surfmaster PI, But the way I use it, is When the Wife and I go for a walk down a long stretch beach, I hold the hand and pull the coil behind me and when it barks I stop and dig. and you can walk at a good pace. I got sixteen targets in 200 yards doing that, one silver ring and the rest change. Gene
