Thank you friends, for all of your prayers for our son Brian as he fights his battle against this crazy bone disorder. He was given a death sentence last September, and put on hospice care with a do not resuscitate order, but has defied the odds and we will get to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ together again this year!
Then in March of this year, my dad was diagnosed with acute leukemia and given 6 weeks to live without treatment. He endured 7 weeks of chemo the following spring and summer but the leukemia has returned. He has chosen not to go through additional chemo which would require a 6 month hospital stay without any assurances that it will be eliminated. They are giving him platelet infusions once a week to prevent hemorrhaging until he talks to some specialists at Vanderbilt. Thankfully, we will get to spend at least one more Christmas with him before he is called home! Of course, our daily prayer is for healing!
Dad almost didn't choose to go through the chemo. He said he felt like God wanted him to be in Heaven when He called Brian home!
We have celebrated Christmas every day this year....each day with my son and my dad was a gift! Thank you Father!
God has really blessed our family this year!
Thank you again for your thoughts, prayers and cards! We pray you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
