Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

I didn't have the chance to say that at the the right time........so, better late than never.

I'd not been feeling well for a few days and went to the ER at midnight 12/23 with chest pains. EKG and bloodwork was normal but the Dr thought I should stay in overnight for observation. No sweat! Get home Xmas eve.....that'll work!

After being hooked up to a monitor overnight the cardiologist said he'd sure feel better if I had a stress test. Heck! Still no sweat though. Have that test and still get home Xmas Eve evening.

Had the stress test the 24th which was pretty normal. There was this one little quirt that probably didn't mean anything. The only way to know for sure was with an angiogram so I signed up for that. Started getting down in the dumps at this point. This meant I'd have to spend Xmas day in the hospital because they couldn't do the test until the 26th. Well.....that's still not so bad. It would be worth it to know for sure my heart wasn't the problem. Besides, I could still be with everyone for New Years. (Yeah, right!)

During the angiogram I began having the same hurting in my chest and went unstable for about 20 min. Yessir! A bunch of blockage!!

Had a quadruple bypass early the next morning. Kind of lost a couple of days in there but everything has gone real well. I've been home several days now and am doing better every day.

Couple of things:
1.) I feel very fortunate that the Drs. kept asking "why?". Had I gone home, I was set up for a major heart attack within a few months. I now have the expectation of feeling better than I have in a long time.

2.) I likewise feel fortunate to have you good friends (most of whom, I've never met) in my corner. I truly appreciate your prayers and well wishes. I've also received several cards.......and, yes.....some were of questionable taste. hehehehehehe The guilty parties know who they are! hehehehe

Once again, my thanks to all of you. BobinMIZZU

Naw, I was too stupid to know the difference. hehehehehe

By the way - what's that button supposed to do? And how do you get it to do it? Is it an external pacemaker or something?
