Memorial Day finds (Saturday's too)

Went out fishing on Saturday. Talked so much about metal detecting that we had to go out for an hour after we got back. Showed my fishing buddy the old 1800

Nice haul Bob, love that silver. I got out a little bit and managed to scare up two mercs two indians and a buffalo. I still need to post the pics. I got sidetracked for the rest of the day installing two storm doors. Guess I could'nt spend the whole weekend treasure hunting. Have to chip away at that honey-do list.

:)Hello Mirage, I'm surprised your son had more patience than you! Usually it's the other way around with kids! Very nice finds for your outing. I found it interesting that there's Chinese writing on the inside of the ring. You sure are doing really well finding all those coins. You seem to be getting a lot of coinage lately, maybe you're hitting the right spots. I went out the other day to a spot, and found some recent currency, and deduced that though they were about 3 inches buried, they weren't there that long. It's surprising how coin bury themselves that deep quite quickly. Especially in softer soil.
