Melted aluminum

Well, finally got out for the first time yesterday. Dropped down in the valley along the Snake River and hit some camp and picnic spots. Didn't find much to holler about - a bit of clad, a couple of fishing sinkers, and plenty of trash. My MXT really sounds off and gives a solid penny/dime reading on the bits of melted drink can aluminum swept out of the campfire pits. Much more irritating to me than the pull tabs and bottle caps common at these sites. Anyway, it felt good to get out and was the first really warm sunny day we've had so far this spring.

I know exactly how you feel about finally getting out. Glad you were able to get out also. Anything found that you keep is better than nothing at all. We woke to over 2" of snow again today and maybe by next week, we'll be able to get out again. I had a lot of that can crap too in the playground. Or maybe it was radial tire chunks. Anyway, it was very annoying. HH, Nancy

Hey Bill, A least you got to GET OUT for a while.:detecting: I did the same, only it was all clad.:biggrin:It still spends don't it. Salting it away for my Vision I'm getting for a couple of months.

I picked up 16 pennies, 3 nickels, 14 dimes and 3 quarters. And Right in front of my :whites: dealer too LOL It used to be a vegetable stand mostly open in the w:usaa:inter for the snowbirds we get down here every year. At least I'm getting something. Lots of 50 MPH wind blown sand on the beach, so I couldn't go there:sadwalk:. HH to all,
