Meet with Allen from the forum today...

Jim C (Mich)

Well-known member
..at the park where I found the gold ring at last weekend.
Allen is moving to Okl. so he offered all of his research papers and even burnt me a copy of his computer research before he leaves sometime this week. What a guy.
He could not detect with me today (darn it). Had his family with him. I wish nothing but the best for Allen on his move and hope all works out well for him and his family. A great guy.
After they left I detected for about an hour and recovered some wheaties. Two toasted indian head pennies and this Barber dime. The old coins here are very deep and ya have to listen for the faintest of repeatable targets.
Good luck to ya Allen and thanks again, Jim

That park is old enough, it ought to be loaded with Barbers. I wish they'd scrape the top 6" of dirt off, get rid of the modern junk, and expose the deeper, older stuff.

You might even have justification to dig any target that's deep, and isn't iron. You got that gold ring, and I wouldn't be surprised if there's a gold coin in there somewhere.

I was all set to do some hunting. However, my other half wanted to let the little ones out to run around, and twin boys at almost 4, and a 2 y.o. daughter need a lot of supervision.

HH from Allen in MI
