Medieval French Monetary weight

Found recently on the banks of a local dam (in France),this coin weight measures 14mm x 13mm and is 4.7mm thick and weighs 6.33grs,made of bronze,no doubt French with a slight possibility of it being Spanish (less than 400km from Spanish border) I've been unsuccessful in finding the corresponding coin so any thoughts or suggestions very welcome.
Found with my Deus on factory program Basic 1

Wonderful find.

The coin weight, however, is already too much worn down to determine at first sight but you certainly can places it between 16th and 17th century.
The older French medieval coin weights usually have a round shape instead of the square model such as here.

 Thank you Wim,I agree both times,it's a wonderful find and probably from the epoch you've stated,it's the first one I've found,I doubt I'll ever find another,my detecting buddy's only ever found one in twenty years of detecting,It's safe to say that gold and silver coins are far commoner and yet it's just a square of bronze,I'm amazed it hasn't inspired more interest!
