Medieval bullet mould

New member
I found a one half of a copper mould for casting lead-ball bullets. There is a peg-hole in each corner of the joint face to locate the other half. Internally, the mould is hemispherical with a sprue entering from one side. There are remnants of an iron fitting on the outside, which would have been the means by which the two halves of the mould were held together when the molten lead was poured.
Thanks for looking!

Nice finds, garryson. I hope whoever used that bullet mold wasn't as clumsy as I am. That hot lead can sure burn. HH.
