Meager pickins over the weekend.....

Not much to report over the weekend.
Lots of rain but did get a few hours in over Sat and Sun.
Found a small green match box car, a hand full of dimes, quarters and lots of
pennies. Ahhhhh if only there was a ring out there with my name on it!!!!
Nothing worth uploading.

Checked out two High School areas but they keep the sports area locked up tighter than
Fort Knox. They have locks on all the gates!

I see that more and more at schools. Vandals ruin it for all.

yea, at one of the parks that I went to yesterday, there was graffiti on all of the tot lot equipment. All over the slides, benches, picnic tables, the interactive stuff like the tic-tac-toe games and the chess boards/tables, it really made me sick. I don't condone graffiti, but can't they do it some place else, not on toddlers playgrounds. Also I had no idea that there was so much scrap metal and broken glass mixed into the wood chips on the tot lots!!!! I threw out so much large pieces of glass that I could of filled a bucket. Vandals are ruining it for everybody.

yeah, I can stand all the tagging, graffiti and vandalism these days. I take reports on all sorts of stuff like this, all day long. also, for those that don't wear gloves when digging, I recommend it. I have also been running across scrap in tot lots, would hate to be cut by some of that stuff. also, I found a used condom in a tot lot last time out. talk about a biohazard....

A school playground I hit often had all wooden equipment and some arsehole set it on fire and burnt most of it up. Talk about a scum.

we had the same problem at an elementary school here a few years back, arson to plastic playground equipment. I think they hit it a few times and never caught who did it.
